Our Story
How We Met…
Brandon and Jessica met on February 2, 2020 at Prince William Marina at a super bowl party. Jessica was invited to the marina by one of her best friends, and maid of honor, Natalie. Her intentions were definitely not to meet anyone but rather to spend some quality time with her friend. Brandon also hadn’t intended on meeting anyone as he was there with his Mom, Sheri. He ended up finding his way into the girls’ conversation and the rest is history!
Their first date was at Yard House in the Springfield Mall. And after just a few dates the world shut down in March 2020 and because of this they got to know each other very quickly! They both lost their jobs, their living situations were both up in the air, and they ended up quarantining together. They explored D.C., ordered lots of take out burgers and sushi, and put together puzzles as they looked for new jobs and a new apartment to move into together in the summer of 2020.
Brandon and Jessica lived in an apartment in Stafford, VA for a few months before buying their first home together in January 2021! Since then they have been enjoying their quiet life in the woods with their fur babies and many acres to explore, grow in, and enjoy together.
Their favorite things to do together are going to the shooting range, gardening, watching Marvel movies, naps on the couch, being with family, and Sunday night pizza.
But Before That…
Brandon grew up in Woodbridge, VA with his Mom, Sheri Robinson, his Dad, Joel Robinson, and his two younger brothers Nick and Reid. Like Jessica, he grew up with cats and their beloved dog Birdie. He played all kinds of sports growing up from soccer, to hockey, to wrestling. But his favorite sport in high school was baseball. He was on the Osbourn Park High School’s baseball team for three years. After high school Brandon was in the United States Air Force. After his time serving he transitioned into his full-time profession as a diesel mechanic. He now works for Prince William County Schools as a bus mechanic. Brandon is an avid outdoorsman and loves what the Earth has to offer him. He hunts deer, turkey, waterfowl, and even squirrels in their backyard!
Jessica grew up in Herndon, VA with her Mom and Dad, John and Cynthia Rush, and her two older brothers Alan and Peter. Like Brandon, she grew up with cats and their beloved dog, Casey - give or take a few hamsters, fish, and even a snake. Jessica was active in her high school choir and loved art and design. After high school Jessica went to West Virginia University and was in Delta Gamma Fraternity and majored in Graphic Design. After college she settled into the creative field around northern Virginia. Jessica now works as a full time Graphic Designer for a government contracting agency out of Stafford, VA. Jessica loves true crime documentaries and reading on their front porch in their home in the woods. She loves hiking and running and completed her first half marathon this spring.
